Powerful Father, just as in the time of the judges, we need revival—revival in our lives, in our churches, in our land. Oh, God, I cry out to You to send revival.
Father, we live in a pampered society. People do not know what it is to struggle in and for their faith. Just as in the time of the judges, we must learn to fight for our faith. Just as You left people in the land to test Israel, give me wisdom to understand what things You have placed in my life to test and build my faith. Enable me to pass those tests (Judges 3:1).
Father, show me things and people that I allow to turn my heart from You, and let me separate myself from them. Give me the courage to end relationships and separate myself from those who pull me away from You. Show me the relationships that drain my faith instead of building it (v. 3). Please give me wisdom not to sacrifice my children to people who have no heart for You.
Father, teach me desperation for You. Have I grown comfortable in my sin? Have I grown accustomed to the bondage of the world? Have I forsaken obedience to You? May I live in complete obedience to Your Word. That means I must spend massive amounts of time in Your Word. Give me a fresh hunger for Your Word (v. 4). Show me what I am giving my children to. Is it the gods of this world? Is it fashion, pleasure, sports, entertainment? Forgive me for over emphasizing these things and not having a true, obedient heart for You. Oh God, break my addiction to these things (v. 6).
Father, have I forgotten You and done evil in Your sight by not giving You my time and attention? Show me my evil ways, thoughts and attitudes (v. 7). Just as Your anger was stirred against Israel, Father, show me what in my life stirs Your anger against me. Show me if I am in bondage to this world or the world’s system. Show me the ways I have adopted the world’s mindset and values. Please do not give me over to the world. Deal with me. Send warnings in my life if I begin to love the world (v. 8). When I have to go from one thing, event, or activity to another to find satisfaction, let me realize I am in bondage. When pleasing people and getting their approval is extremely important to me, let me realize I am in bondage.
Father, I cry out to You, deliver me. Forgive me of my sin and cleanse me. I cry out to You, oh God. I am desperate for You to work in my life and in my church (v. 9). Lord, I need revival. Teach me perseverance, Lord. Teach me not to quit. Move in my behalf. Lord, send revival to Your people. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Praise God, the ultimate owner of all, who gives and takes away the privilege of managing those resources (Daniel 4). Thank God for specific resources he has put under your care. Confess any attempts to own (rather than manage) “your” money. Commit yourself to being a faithful steward who puts God’s kingdom and righteousness first (Mt. 6:33). Ask him to teach you the secret of being content in any and every situation (Phil. 4:12).
Pray that God will give you, your family, and your friends the daily provisions you need (Mt. 6:11). Ask also that you all will excel in the grace of giving (2 Cor. 8:7).
