To Jesus, prayer was not giving the Father a list of the things He wanted. Prayer was quietly listening to the command of the Father. Jesus then believed and trusted in the Father to give Him the power and resources to accomplish His will. As a result, all of heaven was released. The lame walked. The blind could see. The dead were raised. The captives were set free. The Son was in harmony with the Father.
Let us put aside every obstacle that would keep us from that same harmony with the Father. There are nations to be captured for Christ. There are souls to be saved and hearts to be healed. We must not allow this generation to slip further toward hell. Let us say with the author of Hebrews, “Let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1–2, emphasis added).

Father, I want to be in harmony with You the way that Jesus was. Help me to put aside every obstacle that would keep me from this desire! May I untangle my life from sin and run the race of endurance You have set before me as I keep my eyes fixed upon Jesus!
Read Psalm 24 and praise God as the King of glory, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle, the Lord almighty! Give thanks for God’s power poured into your life and ministries. Confess any attempts to live and minister by your power instead of the power of the Spirit. Commit yourself to being a channel of his powerful love. Ask God to give you clean hands, a pure heart, integrity of soul and honest speech (24:4), so his power can flow through you unhindered.
Pray that God will bring a powerful revival to your nation. Ask him to bring his almighty, King-of-glory presence into your neighborhood through your own example and words.
