Take a few minutes and quiet yourself before God. Ask Him to bring to mind someone whom He would like to have you pray for right now. You may also ask Him what He wants you to pray specifically. If something specific comes to mind, pray it back to God. If nothing specific comes to mind, pray whatever you think is appropriate.
I pray for a righteous intercessor’s heart:
Lord, it appears to me that I can even intercede for others self-centeredly and selfishly. May my prayers for others be focused on glorifying You and exalting Your Name. I ask for Your wisdom to pray for others in ways that correlate with Your heart and purpose. May my passion for You override my will and help me seek Your will for everyone in every situation.

Father, I long to learn how to be still before You. Quiet my spirit and allow me to be filled with joy in Your Presence. Rid me of my self-centered requests and replace them with an earnest passion to see Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
Praise God for keeping his covenant promises to you. Give thanks that you have always been able to count on him in all circumstances. Confess any doubt you have had concerning God and his promises. Commit yourself to trusting the Lord and taking him at his word. Ask for his peace which transcends understanding to guard your heart and your mind in Jesus Christ.
Pray that those who instruct within the church may be able to correctly handle the Word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15).
