“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
Most of us do not look at ourselves as “world-changers.” We do not see ourselves as having the power or influence to change the direction of nations. As Christians, however, we affirm the power of God to impact the nations. That power is released through the prayers of people just like you and me. Would you make a commitment today to change your world? Take a step in prayer. Begin to pray more for the people around you, as well as for world leaders and the flow of world events. Bring the amazing power of God to bear upon this world and see what our awesome God will do!

Lord God, I commit to becoming a world changer on behalf of Your kingdom today. By Your grace, I will take a step forward in prayer in order to allow Your power to be unleashed upon the people and situations You place upon my heart.
Praise God, whose mind and imagination created the stars, the earth, and the life of all creatures. Give thanks for the reaches of God’s knowledge, which far exceeds the limits of the human mind. Confess the times in this past week when you have leaned on your own understanding and not followed the teachings of the Lord (Hos. 14:9). Commit yourself to studying the Bible regularly to learn what God has to teach you. Ask the Lord to make his Word as sweet as honey (Ps. 19:10).
Pray for young adults and their parents, that the teaching of the Lord may be a living faith passed down from parent to child.
