Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Isaiah 35:5-6a
Spiritual healing and physical healing often go hand in hand. It is not unusual, then, for us to find that one of the marks of spiritual revival is physical healing. Blind eyes see, deaf ears hear, the lame walk, and the mute speak – just as it happened when Jesus walked the earth in physical form 2000 years ago. Jesus brought spiritual healing that often overflowed into physical restoration.
We earnestly seek the face of God for revival, we realize that healing is one of the signs of God’s work in our midst. Historically, some revivals emphasized physical healing and some did not. That is not so much the issue as seeking Him for all that He is. And, because of what Jesus did in the flesh so long ago, we will see His work of healing, both spiritual and physical in the revival that He brings.
Lord Jesus, I thank You that by Your stripes we are healed. Come and bring healing to Your people. We so desperately need restoration in every way. Our bodies and our souls…our families and our friendships…our nation and our world are crying out for spiritual awakening. Come, Mighty Healer, so that we too might shout for joy at Your coming.

Praise God for his marvelous goodness. Thank the Lord for being a refuge in times of trouble (Nah. 1:7). Confess your own failure to show goodness toward others. Commit yourself to bearing the fruit of goodness through the power of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22). Ask God to enable you today to “taste and see that the LORD is good” (Ps. 34:8).
Pray that good will win out over evil in every area of our society. Ask that righteousness and justice will permeate the fabric of our culture so that God will be glorified and praised.
