“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
As our intimate relationship grows with our Heavenly Father, so does our confidence in looking to God for His heart and mind in every situation. Relational confidence in prayer is based on our full acceptance as a new creation in Christ. We were dead in trespasses and sin, but are now alive able to relationally experience and execute our Father’s heart and mind (Eph. 2:1, 10). We stand before His throne in His presence (1:6-8, 3:12; Heb. 4:16) through His inseparable, unconditional love (Rom. 8:38-39). God is love! If we apply the type of love God desires among believers expressed in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, we learn that our heavenly Father is patient, kind, not boastful and conceited, self-seeking or rude, not easily provoked, does not keep a record of my wrongs, does not rejoice in unrighteousness but in truth, seeks what is best for His own and never gives up. His agape love never fails toward those who have a new covenant relationship with Him in Christ Jesus.
Heavenly Father, I am in awe of the incredible love you extend to me as Your child. This love is Your gift of grace to me, and it is meant to be given to everyone in my sphere of influence – family, friends, and even enemies! Help me to be continually filled with unconditional love that never fails!

Praise God, who fills you with rich spiritual food (Isa. 55:2). Thank God for not allowing you to go hungry for spiritual nourishment. Confess any craving you may have for things which are not spiritually satisfying (55:2). Commit yourself to daily feeding on Jesus, the living bread (Jn. 6:51). Ask God to instill in you a hunger for the Word of Life.
Pray for any persons you know who are dying spiritually. Pray for opportunities to invite them to the sumptuous wedding banquet of the king (Mt. 22:2-10).
